Strengths: I wore these with a very old set of beat-up Converse trainers on two days of riding around Castleton. They were very comfortable. Nice neutral black colour, with some pads marked in grey so you can position them correctly.
Weaknesses: Not sure all the features are exactly neccessary - but they don't get in the way either so not really a complaint.
Overall: Great pair of socks. Spent a lot of time in them (on and off the bike) and had no complaints (and I am usually prone to blisters). My feet felt comfortable and warm but not sweaty - can't ask for much more than that.
Strengths: Keeps your feet warm without getting them sweaty. Subtle colours. Left and Right foot indicators. Loads of fancy marketing bits and bobs which appear to work. Anti-bacterial bits in the socks.
Weaknesses: None yet and they have been tried for the last few weeks on and off the bike.
Overall: The socks are amazingly comfortable to wear. My feet feel very warm but not sweaty - I suffer from really sweaty feet and these actually keep my feet dry (but they feel sweaty). They have kept my feet dry throughout some really bad wet weather riding and the only time they have let the water in was when I had to wade through a river! Incredibly comfy and I have no problems with blisters any more. Absolutely brilliant, I'm going to buy another couple of pairs this pay day.
Strengths: Thicker, reinforced areas where the most wear occurs, with thinner areas for ventilation where reinforcement isn't needed. Means comfortable, dry feet. The ankle support seems to work. Hard wearing
Weaknesses: Hmmm… Not sure they'd keep your feet warm on those really cold winter rides.
Overall: I've been using these socks for about six months now (weekend use). During this time my dodgy ankle hasn't been causing me any grief when cycling. My feet feel comfortably dry, not sweaty. Also, the wear is very good; they look as good as new.
Overall: Was expecting great things from this, as I am a terrific fan of the vests. But not too sure what all the fuss is about. It works, and maybe in extreme conditions it'll work better than other bike specific socks, but at this time unconvinced
