'a M.T.B. miracle'

Strengths:
superb lube for all conditions, slightly waxy but doesn't attract crap.chains suddenly become quieter shifting improves, very easy to apply and each application lasts for a long time.

Weaknesses:
a tad expensive but lasts a long time.

Overall:
I was introduced to this as a Silverfish freebie, it was a great bit of marketing because I will not use anything else now.After a few initial doubts that it would be as good as it claimed it lived up to all of the speil.

'POND WATER'

Strengths:
none

Weaknesses:
this stuff is crap - avoid
it looks like pond water and it squirts everywhere like pond water.
it makes your nice clean chain and cassette go browny yellow. and best of all it has grit in?!?!?!?!?
once you've followed the instructions and squirted this crap all over your chain, half the bottle has gone (once you've unclogged the grit from the nozzel)and your clean chain looks worse then when you got back from your last ride

Overall:
bought a bottle of this crap from wiggle and it was full of grit, so much so that the nozzel was blocked up. phoned wiggle they put a new bottle straight in the post. same problem again. grit in a lube - some things wrong there

'THE BEST DRY-ISH LUBE FOR MOST RIDING'

Strengths:
dries to a waxy finish.
doesn't attract too much dirt.
stays on for a while, unlike many dry lubes

Weaknesses:
makes the cassette look like an accident in a candle factory.
you have to wipe the chain thoroughly.
if it is cold, or you don't agitate the bottle it plugs up.
wears off during longer rides

Overall:
this is the only dry-ish lube I've bought more than once. I really like it & use it nearly all the time. I avoid it in the depths of winter as it does come off and is a pain to apply in cold conditions.

'GOOD STUFF'

Strengths:
Easy to apply
Cleans chain
Stays Clean

Weaknesses:
Expensive, especially when you have to use loads.

Overall:
Although drivetrain has been v. quiet and smooth shifting, I have experienced a little more chain suck than usual with this product. Might just be things wearing out, I suppose.

FAR less grit on the chain and cassette after a muddy ride.

'PRETTY AMAZING STUFF'

Strengths:
Has drastically reduced the noise from my drivetrain AND improved shifting

Weaknesses:
None

Overall:
Price isn't too bad, easy to apply, and works wonderfully. I use this lube in all weathers and find that it lasts way longer than stuff I've used previously, has dramatically quietened down my drivetrain which is impressive enough, but also seems to attract far less dirt.
Highly recommended. I have been using this lube for about 5 years and would not use anything else anymore - the new stuff doesn't like like pond water too which is nice. It's a much cleaner looking blue colour!

'I CAN'T BRING MYSELF TO USE ANYTHING ELSE'

Strengths:
Easy to apply. doesn't let crap/dirt stick. No dirty hands (very important if you are a lady). Great to use if you are away for a few days back country as it will clean and lube in one move. may not be the best of cleans but at least it keeps chain etc running smoothly. I use it all year round in all conditions: snow, mud, dry.

Weaknesses:
Sometimes rear cassette looks a bit waxy but small price to pay.

Overall:
I really can't bring myself to use anything else. it may work out a bit more expensive to use than other products but who cares! The fact that I can go awol for a couple of days and keep my running gear in fine fettle is the best bit. It's clean to use.
