Strengths: Tough cromo frame that handles like a proper MTB. As it has full rack mounts etc on 18" it would make a good cheap commuter/adventure bike. No real "must change immediately" parts and frame could be repaired if damaged.
Weaknesses: Looks dated with the almost flat top tube & short head tube. Risers are a must. Triple triangle means awkward "V" brake routing. A bit heavy.
Overall: I bought the rigid version of this bike for my wife in 2001. It cost £270. With a few mods(some second hand Spyder R's a short stem, and a womens seat) my wife has a very nice scoot for very little money.
Strengths: Good looking cro-mol frame that has all the taut-springy compliance only quality steel can feel like. Hard riding head down riding abilities. feels special
Weaknesses: Mediocre fork and brakes that fine when new but quickly went off
Overall: Love this bike its practicality and mixture of comfort/performance all for £320 in 2000...worth seeking out 2nd hand
