Strengths: Price, All the tools you need on the trail for a disc equipped full susser.
Weaknesses: I lost the Torx bit when I dropped the tool onto a rock. I did not realise I had lost it until I got home.
Overall: Excellent value for money (even more when compared with other Topeak 2002 tools). The Torx bit may have fallen out because I had not put it in properly but, if it was a fold out arm, it would not have happened.
The Topeak Hummer is a great trail tool. Instead of packing as many tools into a small space as possible, the Hummer is built more for ease of use.
Many chain splitters on multi-tools are notoriously difficult to use. Whilst the Hummer's chain splitter is still a little fiddly, it's great considering it's compact size. Also, other parts of the tool aid trailside chain splitting. The chain hook can be used to take the tension out of the chain before splitting. A clever touch is the small extra 4mm allen key found on the tyre lever; it can be used in the top of the chain tool and the tyre lever then becomes a handle for the chain tool.
The other tools are all top quality too; and the Torx driver will no doubt come in handy for those with disc brakes. The Hummer may not have all the tools you need, such as spanners, but Topeak have stuck to the essentials and not overloaded the tool. The benefits of this are that the Hummer is cheaper, lighter and easier to use than most other tools.
Strengths: everything u could ever need just built my bike using it apart from bbracket and casset. good level of construction nothings rounded ot twisted snapped etc
Weaknesses: the pin on the chain tool is ever so slightly to long on mine pops the rivit out the other side woops gue ill have to be abit more carefull trox wrench could be on a arm just have to be careful not loose it
Overall: good costruction everything u could need wellworth the 20 quid asking price why pay more for spanners ? i aint got any nuts :-) but thats another story

Strengths: Quite compact, most tools are on there. The chain splitter is neatly designed, but see below.
Weaknesses: Err, exactly. It seems very weak. There is noticable twisting of the allen keys when you try to tighten anything 4mm or less. Also, the arms don't lock out, so they can slip when in use - especially the screwdrivers. I was also worried about snapping the combined tyre lever / spoke wrench when using the integrated alen key on the chain splitter.
Overall: Neatly designed, but flexes and so I have worries that things will snap. Having said that, to date nothing has snapped.
Overall: My mate had one of these and it broke after about 6 uses. Total crap quality. He one has a park aws-10 and so do i, which u can't faulter as they are so damn strong.
Strengths: Price. Weight(lack of). Absence of unecessary, never used, gubbins found on (some) other tools.
Weaknesses: Only one so far ... the body of the tool got in the way when fitting a (Topeak) bottle cage; so much so that it took minutes to tighten (designed by the same team? - talk to each other more guys!)
Overall: Pretty good so far. Tyre levers work fine. I wonder why the 4mm Allen key is as long as it is, as it seems to "flex" under use which is alarming - although it was very useful when the "pig iron" key supplied by DMR snapped after loosening only the 2nd screw-in peg on my V8s!
