Neoprene ankle closure.

Rubber sole and sensible tread will give grip when walking off-road and on smooth pavements.

Nylon mesh and split leather upper.

'GOOD WINTER SHOES - BUT NOT PERFECT'

Strengths:
Waterproof and warm winter boots - but wish I'd got a size up to compensate for thicker socks. Good reflective bits for the road sections. Goretex breathability

Weaknesses:
The pull on the neoprene cuff is not stitched all the way into the leather which means - its not up to the job of reliably helping you to get them on - my pair tore badly after 11 months (5 months use at 2-3 times a week) This is certainly a design fault

Overall:
Good shoe - but use a shoe horn to get them on rather than the the pathetic pull loop at the heel
