Description: Air Alloy tube is cold drawn and butted in critical areas to maintain strength and optimize weight.
Forged and CNC machined from 6061 aluminum into their unique shape, the seat post heads are incredibly strong and fatigue resistant. Customized shape allows for independent adjustments to be made for both the tilt and the lateral positioning of the saddle.
The Allen bolt and rotator nut clamp allow the rider to obtain the preferred saddle angle, yielding perfect saddle positioning. As the bolt loosens on the nut, the inner circular assembly is free to rotate to the desired angle. This adjustment doesn't affect the fore/aft position of the saddle.
The Allen bolt and side clamps allow the rider to set the fore/aft positioning in the perfect spot. This adjustment is done independently of the saddle tilt- the perfect saddle position can be found quickly and easily. As the Allen bolt tightens, the side clamps squeeze towards each other and secure the rails firmly in place. Side clamps are beefed up with extra material in critical areas for increased strength and durability.
Convenient height lines are laser etched above the minimum height line on the post, ensuring riders will be able to adjust their seat height quickly and easily after dropping it for the steep descents

Strengths: Available in a wide diameter (30.9) ideal for Specialized bikes. Very strong, very adjustable. Look the Dog's B's.
Weaknesses: Tmech does add weight. Quite expensive, but it is Raceface.
Overall: Great looking stem. Nice height markings on the side, so you can drop the seat for those downhills and put it back to the right place when you reach the bottom. Flexes good for that extra bit of comfort.
Overall: Truly great seatpost (if you can get excited about a seatpost) Clamp is pretty impossible to move whilst riding, single bolt clamps have a habbit of coming loose on me.
To Anthony Jones (above), all I can say is "how?" I have used 4 different XY's accross various bikes, where are the sharp bits? and how did you rip your shorts, that just doesn't sound right...
Strengths: Very strong, fairly light, and infinitely adjustable. Available in weird diameter for Specialized bikes. Very fasionable addition to bike
Weaknesses: The adjusting system is heavy, bulky and sharp - it tore my new bibshorts in three places on one ride. It's also started to creak after only five weeks. With a conventional saddle attachment this post would be seriously light and work just as well. Expensive.
Overall: Not a seatpost I was able to stick on my bike and forget about. Very tough, but not kind to your clothes, and could be lighter. Surprised it's so popular.
Strengths: lightweight, strong, looks good and so easy to adjust to get your perfect set up and the height markers really finish it off nicely plus it is nice to get such a good seatpost with a choice of layback or inline, also backed up with a good warranty although i doubt you would ever have to use it (fingers crossed! )
Weaknesses: no real weaknesses unless you consider £74 expensive but there are more expensive posts out there that do exactly the same job and possibly not any better!
Overall: great post that i've fitted and forgot about, and really it's not that bad price wise considering the qaulity and engineering and little fine touches that have gone in to it.
Strengths: Looks, you can tell it is well made and costs money, not like the usual shite you get with you're bike out the shop.
Weaknesses: Nope, can't think of one.
Overall: Ok, it is expensive, but you may never have to buy another one again. Typical raceface quality. If I was buying again, I would chose between this and the easton CT2 carbon, (which I am buying for my other bike). The adjustability is top notch, and I can put the seat exactly where I want it.
