Strengths: Only cost me £43.50 out the mags. Didn't want a full on MTB shoe that you struggle to walk in and look daft when nipping down the shops etc. Megga comfy and grip well in all conditions. I ride with them all year round and don't have a problem. The strap is a great idea rather than just having a lace set up.
Weaknesses: The let the water in easy but so do they all if not waterproof or leather.
Overall: Great value, megga comfy, look great and can wear all year round.
Strengths: very well made. excellent quality. simple lace retention system. Just the right amount of stiffness in soles.
Weaknesses: price. silly stickers to cover the holes inside the sole.
Overall: I wanted a cycle specific shoe but something for road and MTB use that I could walk in. These shoes are all of the above and more. They are a bit pricey but after one years use they show little signs of wear. Sizing comes up a little small, so try them on before you buy ie. I normally take a size 9 but needed a 9 and a half in these shoes.
Strengths: Good wide fit Neat lace retention Comfy to walk in Look "normal" Clean up well after abuse
Weaknesses: That silly sticker to cover the bolt holes - are you spotting a trend on this one?
Overall: Excellent shoes - comfy, stiff enough but you can still walk. With good socks and overshoes they will cope with really cold weather as well. Ideal for general trail riding, commuting or touring. Unless you race, insist on being waterproof or can afford specific winter boots, you won't need anything better
