Description: Body Geometry saddle claimed to help prevent impotency. Go all day. Go all night. What do you think? Cro-moly rails. Rounded nose. Incorporates vented splash guard. In response to riders' concerns about discomfort, numbness and the possibility of male erectile dysfunction caused by cycling, Specialized teamed up with Orthopedic Seating Specialist Roger Minkow, M.D., to create the Body Geometry saddles.
Unlike padded foam or gel seats (which can actually increase pressure on sensitive perineal areas as you sink into them) or simply carving "relieved" areas or holes in conventional saddles, Dr. Minkow's solution provides ample cushioning and support for your ischial tuberosities ("sit bones") while eliminating the pressure areas that can cause numbness and discomfort. We call our design the "Minkow Wedge".
The overall surface is nearly flat, not convex like most saddles which prevents material from the sides from bunching together in the middle. No matter how much the Body Geometry padding is compressed, pressure on your sensitive parts is always minimized and your pelvis is always fully supported.

Strengths: Comfortable. Allow extended trips over tough terrain without getting a numb bum.
Weaknesses: Look strange, always being asked "what is that saddle?". Rear end is a little to wide.
Overall: Good product. Thoughtful design, especially the rear vents. Overall worth the £25. Dead comfortable, easy on the buttocks. Had it for a year and the only gripe is the rear end is too wide. When wanting to move uo and down the saddle in upsy-downsy terrain the width hampers backwards movment.
Weaknesses: After removing the original saddle to fit the body geometry unit, I found that you have to lower the seat post to accomodate the extra height that you get with the rails being further away for the saddle top.
Overall: Numb nuts, you don't get them because you can not sit on this saddle, After two hours riding I have yet to find a correct position for this seat, moved it all ways, looks like best place might yet be the bin.
Overall: Agree with Kevin's point about the seatpost - and it took me a bit of time to find the best position for the saddle - but quite happy with it. It is comfortable and my only gripe is that it is not the easiest seat to move around on - something to do with the slightly tacky surface and wide back end
Strengths: Robust and strong. I don't get saddle sore on long rides. I drilled a hole in the rear plastic vent and fitted my cateye light to it so that its easily seen and doesn't get all the muck as its above the rear crud catcher.
My wifes just had a baby so it must work!
Weaknesses: Heavy and bulky.
Overall: Alot better than the standard seat that came with my 1998 Marin. It's very hard wearing with none of the material coming away from underneath even after 1 years riding.
Strengths: No more numb bits Most comfortable saddle I've ever had Strong
Overall: Looks strange and feels strange for the first 5 minutes but when riding a lot (which I like to do ... who doesn't) its the most comfortable perch I've had. So impressed I bought 2 ... my wife have the ladies comp version as well.
Overall: the bloke in the bike shop said he'd refund the money if I didn't like it, and tomoorow I shall find out. it feels weird, like perching on a narrow crapper! I tried different positions, heights etc. but my arse did not like it. I guess we're all different shapes and sizes. I also agree about trying to move about on it, it's difficult cos you stick to it
Strengths: Somewhere to sit (but not for too long)
Weaknesses: Heavy & uncomfortable, I don't know whose body geometry this is suited to but it aint bloody mine. There's two hard pressure points on the seat that if you sit for too long realy starts to hurt. I'm constantly squirming around on the seat trying to get comfortable and every now and then I have to stand up to get the feeling back. I've lived with this for a year now and it's time for it to go. Oh and if you leave your bike in the rain the material bit's at the edge sooks up the water and give you a wet arse when you get on your bike.
Overall: Unless you've got a backside the size of a pea don't buy it.
Strengths: Built to last.I rode the solo catogory for the full 24hrs at Red Bull and its still going strong.
Weaknesses: The contact points on the seat, I found had little give in them resulting in two patches on my behind where there is no skin left!! and the that was with a USE post fitted.
Overall: A comfortable seat for short rides, but any time in the saddle you soon get to know which part of your bottom is in contact with the saddle. My recommendation is to spend the extra and get the race version, certainly more comfort and give.
Strengths: Comfortable, good value and well built.
Weaknesses: Heavy and takes a while to get used to. If you can afford it go for more expensive version.
Overall: This is one of the comfiest saddles I have ever ridden. I must admit that I didn't take to it straight away. It took time to find th eright set up and time to re-educate my "contact areas".With over 2000Km riding on this saddle I wouldn't change back to a conventional saddle at any price.
