'AT LAST A CARBON SEAT POST WITH A "SMART" CLAMP!'

Strengths:
The finish & detailing on the post is a wonder. if Chris King made a seat post it would be the Carbolite, it is that good.

The clamp itself is straight forward and like Race Face's XY/XYO, saddle angle can be changed independantly of fore & aft adjustment.

Weaknesses:
Price - but you are getting what you pay for - so I think that cancels out the weakness element.

Overall:
I always have hoped for a carbon XY because of Race Face's clamp but I can't believe I'm going to say this..........The Carbolite's clamping array is better. No more pushing the nose up or down to adjust the angle - 5mm allen key does all on this post including the "worm screw" adjustment system. It is accurate and you can see it changing in increments and you turn the allen key.

The bonded shim is a really good idea, why it hasn't been done before, I'll never know.

I've had a number of posts - X Lite ClikOn, USE Carbon Alien, CT-2s, XYs but this absolutely the best.
