Strengths: Comfortable after four hours; my last saddle was awful after one.
Weaknesses: None to speak of after two months use.
Overall: This is a very firm saddle. It supports your "sit bones" and thats all. Which is just how it should be. My last saddle was covered in a gel layer which spread the load in a very painful way. Recommended.
'NICE LEVEL OF PADDING GIVES LONG AND SHORT RIDE COMFORT.'
Strengths: A bit like a traditional narrow racing saddle but with more padding. This extra padding is well designed as it doesn't become uncomfortable after hours of riding.
Weaknesses: The give in the padding can feel odd coming from the harder flite on my other bike.
Overall: I have this on my training road bike and I am very satisfied with it, and I think I only paid £25. My steel training bike still feels much more harsh than My Flite equiped Gant TCR, but that is more to do with the bikes than the saddles.
Strengths: Have just got the gel model and moved the non gel version onto my mtb, comfortable after several hours in the saddle, gives proper support. After a long search including Flite's ,WTB SST , Titec Berskr etc best so far.
Weaknesses: I'm a bit worried about its longevity on the MTB with the wings etc. Will they take the hits ?
Overall: Looks great , light ,comfortable , can't fault it.Got mine for £20 so cant complain.
Strengths: Looks good (new version is all black), very firm but good shape, 100% better than specialized BG it replaced!
Weaknesses: Still get a little numb, dont think its nearly as durable as leather, needs careful adjustment to get the best position more than other saddles.
Overall: Pretty good - not enough 'give' for MTB use - I'd go with a WTB, ideal for road bike use but gets a bit sore on 3hr+ rides.
Strengths: Firstly I'm not reviewing the 2005 version, mine is a couple of years old. Comfortable (eventually), great quality build with leather cover. Fairly light for the money. Slimline.
Weaknesses: Uncomfortable at first - every ride for the first 20 mins. Then I forget about it.
Overall: I've tried various different saddles - Transam, Bodyfit, etc. This one works best for me, it's not expensive, great quality and looks good.
