Description: Shimano XTR M971 Front Mech. Bottom-swing style (traditional high clamp) version of the XTR front derailleur from the new M970 group. The FD-M971 is a conventional bottom-swing version of Shimano's best off-road front gear. Its simpler action (not top swing) should make for even greater longevity.
