FANTASTIC IF YOU COULD RUN IT FROM THE MAINS
Superb display, very easy to set up and use
Batteries only last 3 months in my unit, which is about the time the stupid speeds start coming
Massive display, even other riders in your group can read it! But too many problems to recommend it

A PARTIALLY SUCCESSFUL ATTEMPT TO MOVE THINGS FORWARD
Big screen, large display. Very easy to set up despite its wealth of facilities.
Loses archived data! Acts as if battery is failing in data review mode - digits fade out etc, but fine in recording mode.
Good, but not worth the price differential. Needs a bit more development before its brilliant - and a tenner off the price!

MORE FEATURES THAN BENEFITS
Good dot matrix display. Good basic functions.
Buggy. Occasionally forgets to stop automatically, so you get a ride time of 8 hours and an average of 2kph. Hard to remove with one hand. Goofy animated menus. 'Weekly' mileage, which is what I'm interested in, is not weekly, but by weekday, no matter what week it happened in. Confused yet?
An honest attempt to put a proper (8-bit?) computer and display into a cycle computer, by people who don't ride.

NICE IN PRINCIPLE, POOR IN EXECUTION
Impressive data storage capacity Doddle to configure Loads of nice features
Unreliable: prone to freezing up, sensitive to pressing enter in the wrong place, tendancy to lose trip data. Curious bug - I have the French language version, but on the graph for the daily statistics, the days are M T W T F S S (in English)
The specification promises so much, but the reality is disappointing. I'm going to persist until the ens of the year, but of faults keep re-occuring, then I'm afraid it will be consigned to the back of a cupboard and replaced with something a tad more reliable. Despite this, I still haven't lost faith in Cateye, however

NICE LARGE CHANGEABLE DISPLAY
Easy to read display, interesting analysis of stored ride data in bar chart form.
None found so far.
Have found this computer easy to install, set up and use. The mounting appears very secure, data has shown no sign of corruption, in short it does everything I require(and it cost me only £32)
