EXCELLENT FOR BEGINNERS

Relatively Cheap, especially if you managed to pick it up from cycle surgery when they had it on sale for £395!
Not the best spec but ok.
Good Buy

EXCELLENT ALL ROUND MOUNTAIN BIKE

Excellent, light weight, but robust and responsive frame. 27 speed shimano deore makes for smooth changing and wide range of terrain . Goes where you want and fast. As much fun on road as off. Disc brakes well worth the extra, for those confident fast downhills without the strain
Not for boulder hopping (although very easy to leap over styles and farm gates with).None that I have found other than its desirabilty and having to keep it securely locked!
Excellent bike and good value for money. highly recommended.Equally at home cross country over Dartmoor and racing along country lanes. Splash out on the Magura Julie discs for the best results

FANTASTIC ALL ROUNDER

Great frame with a decent groupset for the money
Could have been higher spec V brakes.
This is the perfect daily commuter that doubles up as a weekend XC bike. I bought it with the V brakes but the frame is disc ready and will be easy to upgrade in the future.

SUITS ME!

Good handling, strong bike, works for me on and off road.
Not much
I bought this bike to commute into London, to replace my 20 year old steel frame Muddy Fox. After that, most ally frame bikes were too "twitchy" for me, this is the one I got on best with. I have taken an inch of the handlebars, changed to Specilalized kevlar road tyres (80psi) and put on SPDs but otherwise, 2000 miles later, still very happy with it. Nice precise & dependable handling.

A JOY TO RIDE

Feels tireless to ride and gives good stability, especially at speed down-hill. Easy to fit to cycle carrier on roof-rack.
As others have said, paint is a bit flaky, particularly where cycle carrier grips tube.
I've had this bike for just over a year now - April 04 - and rarely a week goes by without riding it. I live in the New Forest and so it's ideal for a trek through and across the forest. Compared to the Giant I hired last November to cycle bits of New Zealand, it's like a feather. Gear change is smooth and suspension is excellent (Shimano/SIX), which come as standard. Price would be great, if it weren't for them being the same price in the USA - with disc brakes as standard - but in dollars.
