NOT AS GOOD AS WHAT CAME BEFORE!
Light. Looks good - until used for a short while.
A step backwards technically with no differential plate action as per M950/M952, this makes it harder to set up and more so with wider gear ratios such as a 24-46 tooth spread. The shiny grey finish looks lovely but comes off in big flakes in no time at all. Bolts and threads corrode easily.
As with all the M960 items I've used, not as effective or nearly as long-lived as the previous XTR generations. I've yet to try M970 - I hope it's better.
